Macy's Madness

Ryan finally found ties that he liked for the men to wear for the wedding. This is the path around San Antonio that these ties took us on over a 2 hour period.

SO. MANY. MACY'S.

Problem: They were on sale at Macy's at Rolling Oaks Mall. There were only 3 left. He needed 6. It was 7:00.

So, the sweet saleswoman at Rolling Oaks Mall Macy's suggested we try one of the other Macy's in the San Antonio area. We headed over to North Star Mall to check out their selection and hope they had 4 ties left.

Problem: There were not any of the ties we needed at Macy's at North Star Mall. We still needed to find 4 ties and it was 7:45.

So, we headed over to the Shops at La Cantera to try that Macy's out. Luckily, they had 2 of the ties that we needed. This brought the tie total to 4. It turns out, the saleswoman at La Cantera was a genius (or just did her job right). We told her the situation and she said, "Oh, let me do an item look up for you.... There are 3 of those ties at Ingram Park Mall and 5 of them at Rivercenter." We just stood there looking at her like seriously! We had to laugh. If the first Macy's had done the item look up, we would've gone to Rivercenter and been done.

Problem: We still needed 2 more ties. It was 8:20ish. Macy's at Ingram Park Mall would close at 9:00. In my head, I'm imagining that someone is over at Ingram Park Mall looking at ties and is about to pick up all 3 of those ties we need! Another problem, my shoes were killing my feet and all this mall-running was exhausting.

So, we headed over to Ingram Park Mall, raced to the tie section, and there they were... those beautiful discounted Alfani Spectrum ties. I've never been so relieved to see a tie in my life. Macy's closed soon after we made our final purchase.

That was the end of the night of Macy's Madness. Ryan got all the ties he needed and at an amazing price.
